Who we support and referral reason

We support children where there are concerns around the child's:

  • development
  • challenging behaviour
  • learning
  • growth
  • emotional well-being
  • other vulnerabilities

We provide a pre-school and school aged developmental assessment.

Where we can deliver our services

Services are provided within a number of locations including:

  • Centenary House
  • Darnall Children's Centre
  • Northern General Hospital

How to refer, who is involved and who to contact

Referrals are accepted from:

  • GPs
  • 0-19 Team
  • SENCO's (click here to find out what a SENCO does.)
  • Speech and Language therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Family Intervention Service workers
  • Primary Mental Health workers
  • Hospital consultants and audiologists
  • Looked After and Adoptive Children’s Health team
  • CAHMS workers
  • School nurses
  • Neonatologists (this is a medical professional who specialises in caring for newborn babies, particularly those who are ill or born prematurely)
