Sports massage can both prevent and help heal injuries to soft tissues, as well as having the potential for increased performance.</div> <div></div> <div>When should I have a sports massage?</div> <div>Routine Maintenance Massage - Regular maintenance massages are a great choice for those with active lifestyles, or athletes focused on performance. This can be used to maintain or improve range of movement and flexibility for muscles and decrease inflammation and promote healing in tissues for faster recovery after exercise.</div> <div></div> <div>Injuries and Rehabilitation - Sports massage aids in the recovery of injuries by reducing inflammation, lymphatic drainage (removing waste products from the body, aiding healing) breaking down scar tissue and adhesions in the tissue.<br />Pre and Post Event - Sports massage can be applied prior to an event to provide a further warm up and circulation boost to the muscles for increased performance. Post event massage works to calm the nervous system, and enhances recovery through increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage.<br /><br />Contact me for information and appointments.</div>
