Session Aims:
Trauma Aware Level Training:
Early & Relational Trauma: Pregnancy, Birth and Early Parenting
This training is a brief introductory awareness level training for anyone who works with women and birthing people through pregnancy, birth and as new parents. It is not specialist trauma or perinatal mental health training.
It's aimed at people who work in any non-clinical profession (admin, porters etc) or clinical/ support professions where perinatal work is not the main focus of their work)
We hope you will leave with an introductory understanding of
- what early and relational trauma is
- why it's especially important for women and birthing people during pregnancy, birth and early parenting
- how every interaction we have, not matter what our role, can positively influence how people with this experience travel through our care systems
