Session Aims:
Members of school staff that are new to attendance or those members of staff who require a refresher on statutory attendance guidance.
Objective of the session: To understand and be able to implement the working together guidance in terms of:
• Recording attendance for all pupils in line with statutory 2024 guidance -correct coding for pupils.
• Voluntary and Formalised attendance intervention – support first process and documents to use
• support from local authority and ‘tools’ to use including, child’s voice, building effective relationships with parents’ carers, Education, Health and Care Mapping, multi – agency support and enforcement process available (when all support has been exhausted).
