Breast Cancer Now

Our Moving Forward Course is designed for people that are approaching the end of their hospital based treatment for primary breast cancer, or those who have recently completed treatment. We know it’s not always ‘back to normal’ when you finish hospital treatment for primary breast cancer. Finishing treatment at your hospital can sometimes mean leaving behind the routine and support you’ve become used to. It may have left you feeling alone.

Coping with the shock of a diagnosis, treatment and side effects, and worries about recurrence can make it difficult to readjust to the everyday.

That’s why Moving Forward is here. Through supportive, open conversations in a safe, confidential space, you’ll connect with people who understand. And you’ll find the tools you need to feel more empowered, confident and in control. Ready to move forward with your life. Find out more: Moving Forward | Breast Cancer Now.

The Living with Secondary Breast Cancer group is a monthly support group for people living with a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer that meets in Sheffield city centre.  Meetings include a programme of guest speakers on a wide range of issues from side effects and treatments to complementary therapies. You can choose to attend regularly or just pick and choose sessions that are of interest to you. The meetings are facilitated by a trained counsellor. Refreshments will be provided at every meeting and lunch will also be available during the longer sessions. Meet on the second Friday of the month at 11am. Find out more at Living with secondary breast cancer (breastcancernow.org).
