Wycliffe Independent Church

Wycliffe is an independent evangelical church based on Hickmott Road. Services and other activities are held at the church from Monday to Sunday. There is no charge for any of our activities. Our Sunday services and Wednesday evening meetings are open to everyone.

Sunday morning services are at 10.30am and creche is provided. Sunday School is offered in term time for children aged 4 – 11 years old. Sunday evening services are at 6.00pm.

We welcome all students to join us on Sundays. We offer student lunches after our Sunday morning services so that they can get to know families and individuals in the church and feel part of the church family for the time that they are here.

Wednesday evening we either have a Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 7:45pm in our church building, or meet in various home groups around the city.

There are various activities during the week:

Tuesday Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month.  We meet in a relaxed and welcoming environment in the church building for afternoon tea, quizzes and puzzles. The meeting is open to all those of an older age whether you would normally come to church or not. We aim to start the formal programme by 2:15pm and usually conclude by 3.45pm.

Noah’s Ark meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:45-11:15am during term time. Noah’s Ark is a toddler group. All carers and their 0 - 5 year old children are welcome. Included is a mix of Bible stories, songs, crafts, play and snack time.

Explorers takes place during term time on Fridays from 6:15-7:15pm, for children in primary school (aged 4 - 11 years). The club includes games, songs, crafts, quizzes and Bible stories.

Youth At Wycliffe Night (YAWN) is for those of secondary school age. They meet on Fridays during term time from 7:30-9:00pm. This is a relaxed group for young people to hang out, enjoy fun games and activities and find out about the message of the Bible.

Study and Social (SAS) is for those in Years 10-13 and meets every-other Tuesday in term time at various people's homes.

Men's Breakfasts normally meet on the first Saturday morning of the month from 9-10:15am for a time of food and fellowship.
