Oasis Gardening
We meet each Tuesday, between 12:30 and 4pm, at Grimesthorpe Allotment.
We grow a variety of vegetables, fruit, herbs, trees and flowers, in raised beds. We're really interested in Organic growing techniques and encouraging wildlife.
We provide gloves, tools and a tea break half way through. We ask that you wear appropriate clothes for the weather, that you don't mind getting muddy.
If you're coming by public transport - from Sheffield City centre, take the 97 or 98 bus. Get off at the first stop on Scott Road, it's just a 3 minute walk from there, head uphill on Ellesmere Road north to the end of the road then follow the footpath down to the right which leads to the gates.
Parking - we suggest you park on Grimesthorpe Road, by the junction with Torbay Road. It's free, and close to the site. The postcode is S4 7EX.
Site access - come to the allotment gates, just off of Grimesthorpe Road and opposite the junction with Torbay Road. We meet at the gate at 12:30pm. If you're running late, call the Oasis number on 07716290721 and I'll come to meet you at the gate.
