Sheffield Crisis House
The Sheffield Crisis House provides short term support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis. The service is accessible to adults aged 18 and above, and has 6 beds with communal areas such as kitchen, lounge, and garden. The service is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and staff work in partnership with Sheffield Health and Social Care.
Individuals can seek emotional support and guidance throughout their crisis and utilise staff to help develop or re-engage with coping strategies, and daily activities. Support is always person-centred and designed to improve the safety and wellbeing of the individual.
Referrals to the Crisis House can be made via community mental health teams (CMHTs) and directly from Liaison Psychiatry at the hospital. We do not accept self-referrals.
