Golf in Society
Golf in Society is a non profitable organisation that provides indoor and outdoor golf sessions for people with various challenges in their lives including loneliness, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer's Disease and Stroke. No previous golf experience is required. We now have a South Yorkshire branch.
We provide a 'taster session' where the participant and carer can come along and take part in session to see if they like it or not at no cost. Should people like to join us then the golf sessions are for two hours a total of £20 (£10 per hour).
The session provides an activity where the participant can enjoy golf in a safe and secure environment and meet new people in beautiful surroundings and which gives the career some essential respite.
You can find out more about us on our website, or download the attached poster with more details.
The golf sessions are at Hillsborough Golf Club on a Tuesday 11 am to 1 pm and Rother Valley - currently on a Friday but will change to a Thursday 11 am to 1 pm.
