SSENDIAS - Sheffield SEN & Disability Information Advice and Support

Sheffield SEN & Disability Information Advice and Support (SSENDIAS) provides impartial, confidential information, advice & support to children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities and their parents/carers on a range of topics including; SEN/disability specific information, education, SEN statutory processes, available services, disability related benefits, grants and funding.

They offer support to parents of children and young people (aged 0-25) with any level or kind of difficulty or disability, from mild to multiple, severe conditions. They operate across the city and only take referrals from parents/carers.

Eligibility criteria for your service and any priority groups

The only eligibility to use our service is that you are: A Sheffield resident, and a child or young person with  some level of SEN and /or disabilities or a parent/carer of a child or young person with some level of SEN and/or disabilities. There is no requirement for a formal diagnosis. All decisions are made by the service user themselves. We take referrals direct from families/service users themselves you do not need a referral from anyone else
