We offer private child and young adult Autism assessments in Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley and  Derbyshire for young people aged 7-25 years.  We are able to offer assessments a little further afield (e.g., Nottinghamshire). Please be aware of travel to one of our Sheffield/Derbyshire locations for one of the appointments. We are a team of specialist qualified clinicians experienced in assessing children and young people for Autism. The team are registered with the health and care regulator, The Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

We aim to ‘unpick’ what is happening for people and make sense of their needs.  This may include making a diagnosis of Autism. We work in a person-centred, collaborative way meaning the needs of the child or young adult and their family are our priority.  We are a specialist team with significant experience who understand the range of ways Autism may present including more subtly (e.g., we see this sometimes in women and girls).

If the child or young adult does receive a diagnosis of Autism, this is known as a neurodevelopmental condition.  This means it relates to how the brain has developed and is lifelong.  We aim to offer a clear understanding of Autism for the child or young person and/or their family and what it means for them.  This includes a balance of  focusing on strengths and skills and considering the things they may find hard to offer the most supportive recommendations.

We are able to offer post-diagnostic support on a case by case basis if this is something you want or need.  We also offer training packages and one-off consultations to schools, workplaces and businesses.
