Alternative Provision Offer 

At the heart of the development of the early years and primary sector 

• Maximum of 6 children per session
• Initial referrals to Tracy Rodgers, contact will be made with the person who made the referral. assessment and suitability screening will be carried out in partnership with the team around the child.  If the Hugi Hub meets the child’s needs and a place is allocated,  an alternative provision partnership agreement will be put in place. 

The Hugi Hub team will support children and their families, in partnership with others to ‘curiously' explore with ‘wonder’ to realise their full potential, particularly children who require that little bit more support! Or who may be at risk of exclusion

At the ‘Hugi Hub’ we draw inspiration from the ‘Hygge’ lifestyle approach from Denmark.  ‘Hygge ‘ is all about atmosphere, environment,  cosiness,  love, friends, happiness and curious exploration ‘in the moment’ tinyhandsbigfutures.co.uk

The placement will include: 

• Nursery / School initial visit and meeting
• Child observation/screening visit
• A family home visit to meet parents/carers 
• Nursery/school visit to meet SENDCO and other staff and discuss the child’s needs, and their plan
• Ongoing communication and reports during the placement
• Outreach training and opportunities
• I CAN Charity Accredited Early Talk Enhancing Children’s Communication and Language Course and Resources
• Option to include child therapeutic play, reflexology and reiki if appropriate*
