Affinity Trust

Affinity Trust is a national charity that believes every adult with a learning disability has the right to lead an active and fulfilling life. Affinity Trust supports over 700 people across the UK.

"We have over 20 years experience of providing high quality support to people with learning disabilities. We bring a depth of experience and expertise in successfully supporting people with more complex needs including challenging behaviour, Autistic Spectrum conditions, mental health issues and forensic backgrounds, within 24/7 supported living settings."

Affinity Trust have developed a strong track record of supporting people who other organisations have not been able to support appropriately, people who are ready to move from low secure settings, and people who currently live outside the city.

Every person is at the centre of planning their care and support and they can play an active role in the recruitment of their support team if they wish. Affinity Trust ensure that their highly trained staff members match the needs and interests of the person they support. They work with everyone they support to develop Person Centred Plans, Support Plans, Health Action Plans and Communication Passports that always reflect their personality, interests, goals and aspirations. Every plan is designed in a format that meets the needs and wishes of each individual.

"We believe that close partnership working is integral to enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling lives and we are aware of the valuable contribution that family, advocates and social care and health professionals can make to ensure the very best support is provided"
