Sheffield Family Support group (FSG)
We are a very small group of 3 Mum's who have successfully applied for a Lottery Community Fund award and a Yorkshire Sport Foundation grant to provide healthy activities for children and young people (0-25years) with a learning disability and their families, who live in the Sheffield CC area, for 12 months.
Exclusive pool swims for our group at Hillsborough Leisure Centre on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month starting at 4.30pm. Places must be booked in advance.
Trampoline/rebound sessions at Hillsborough Leisure Centre on the first and third Saturdays of each month, starting at 4.45pm. Places must be booked in advance.
Taekwondo at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) on either the fifth or fourth Saturday each month at 1pm. No booking required.

Activities are held at Hillsborough Leisure Centre and the EIS which have good accessibility and disabled toilets and changing rooms
Eligibility criteria for your service and any priority groups
A child/young person with a diagnosed learning disability and their parent(s) /carer(s) and siblings
Staffing arrangements/training to support children or young people with SEND
Parents/Carers are required to remain with the child/young person for the duration of the activity as they remain in their care. The activities are delivered/supervised by appropriately qualified staff, but no additional supervision/support is provided by the group.
Maximum places
Maximum 50 people in the water for each swim. Trampoline operates timed slots with places for approx. 10 young people at each hourly session. Maximum 25 participants at taekwondo.
